well im not a wiz on motors but ill tell u what i know uuuuummmmm the lower # of turns a motor has the faster it goes but the faster your car goes the faster your batterie drains. So when u get a lower turn motor u should get a 2000 or a 2500 so u can get more juice and longer run times but the price also goes up. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/tongue.gif

do you get more torque the higher turn

OK, Lower turn motors are faster and have less acceleration, more power, less torque, less run time, run a lot warmer.

Higher turn have longer runtime, faster acceleration, less top speed, less power, more torque, higher runtime, and cooler running temps.

A higher number of winds means more power and more top end speed, with less accerealtion.

A lower number of winds means a little less power and more acceleration.

The turns are the starting point and the winds are a fine tuning. A 12x2 compared to a 12x3 the 2 will have better acceleration, but the 3 will have more top end, though hard to notice. A general rule of thumb, a lower turn motor (like a 9) will require LESS winds (9x1).
