I seriously doubt it. You probably can't really upgrade it. Once it breaks its ruined. It says 1200 FT/MIN but the radio probably goes only 100ft.

Hey man I would go for the one I told you about in the topic help me. It is the radio shack aftershock. http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F009%5F008%5F000%5F000&product%5Fid=60%2D4271 It can be hopped up. Perrys hobbies said it is the most hobby close car that radio shack has ever made. The shocks are cool. It goes 13 Mph, digital proportional, wishbone suspension, can change bodies, tires, rims, etc. Has alloy wheel hubs,4wd can beat a stock stampede in most things. I dont understand it. A radio hut beating a pede??? Heres what perry hobbies has to say about it. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=511 597242&r=0&t=0&showTutorial=0&ed=976192734&indexURL=0&rd=1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=511597242&r=0&t=0&showTutorial=0&ed=976192734&indexURL=0&rd=1) they have one for sale that is the only one in the world like it. Aftershock also has a Hobby pistol grip controller and accepts 7.2 volt batteries. I am getting one for christmas. The f-150 is not 1/8 scale. They claim it to be but it is smaller than aftershock. It is slower too. When these break just buy new parts. They have a parts list on radioshack.com http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Nick

Frankly, I wouldn't waste my time or money with one of those toys. Besides, they don't even look very cool. Believe me, if you save up just a little more money you can get a real hobby-quality vehicle that will be better in EVERY way, and you won't regret it.

I just checked out the "hopped-up" one for sale on e-bay and I'm amazed by all the HYPED-UP BULLCRAP I just read. Come on, it's a Radio Shack toy!
Quote: "This truck even comes with a 4-WAY WRENCH! You can remove and replace the wheels and tires!!!!!"
Who gives a crap!?!?
Quote:"Don't let the plastic yellow shocks fool you, this is ABSOLUTELY the BEST SUSPENSION I've ever seen on a truck without oil-filled shocks, period!"
They are just a set of springs, not real shock-absorbers, period!
Did you notice how short those "wishbone" suspension arms are? You won't get much out of those stubby arms.
As I said, just a bunch of hyped-up bullcrap. Don't waste you time with it unless you are really looking for a toy. Why oh why do people waste their time with that stuff...?

what about the one I posted. It has duel motors(that's good) same speed, four wheel drive. Is this just as hop-up able as the other truck.

if you want something to bash around the house with get a tl01...you can put a cheap kit together for about $170.00. This was my first car and it is still working great. And it's great for bashing...i used to jump ramps with my friend and his truck and never broke anything.

If you want something that's that expensive, why not get a 'pede or a Tamiya Wild Dagger. They are both pretty nice, and are in the same price range you are currently looking at. If you've already got a radio lying around, you can get a 'pede kit for like a $105 from Tower, or if there is a Hobbytown USA close, you can probably get it for a $100 and save on shipping.

I like how he included "tamiya, traxxas, losi" in the ad title so it would come up if you searched for a losi, tamiya etc. Car......
This is like claiming a geo to be a great drag car.... Its a radio shack car no matter what kind of grease its lubed with or how well its soldered. Nothing against the car, if your looking for a good radio shack car im sure this one works very well... I just hate seeing people parallel radio shack cars with hobby class cars. In my opinion, if you want a good bash around car, there are plenty of great hobby class entry level rtr's and kits out there that will give you far more bang for your back yard bashing buck. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

About the only thing ill use it for is jumping off the roof and things like that. I hate to critisize radio hut but I think this is their "best and closest to hobby car they make"

If your wanting something to race at the local track go to you LHS and find something used, most of the time they have used cars and trucks with everything but the charger! My LHS has used cars and trucks their all the time and the highest of seen them ask for one is 200$ with everything! But if you want something for around the house go with the radio hut car. But all i gotta say is don't be caught at your local track with it if you know what i mean http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
