I need some advise where to start looking. I have a brand new Zenoah 26 in my 52" boat yesterday at the lake I was doning what I felt were the last littel adjustments to steering etc. I ran the boat everything seemed fine. On the second run it came back in hot. I opened the hatch and the water line that loops around the exhaust manifold had melted off. So I checked the pump and the lines looking for blockage. I went as far as pulling the pump apart to make sure there was no blockage. I find no blockage in any part. I repaired the tube and tried it again at idle it was pumpiing water through the exhaust. It didn't seem to be as much volume as usual. But the engine was staying cool. I took it fo a short run and it overheated again and acctually shut down.

Where do I start now?

Warblo water pump draws it pressure from the intake manifold water coming in from a pickup in the rear of the boat. Goes to the head then to the exhaust manifold and goes into the exhaust?

Try bypassing the pump when running to see if that may be the problem. You can also install a "T" fitting to run seperate lines to the head and exhaust. Blow though the lines also to check for any blockage anywhere including the water pickup.

Thanks for the advise I hooked up the home run attachment to the water pickup it was moving through but very slow. I increased the water pressure a bit and I felt a bump come through the lines. It had evendently picked up some crap from the lake an partially blocked the line. I am thinking about making a sea strainer to put on the main line to keep this from happening again. I would think a fuel filter would work. :D

Sure. Use a large one with the screen it in and check it often. It doesn't take a lot to plug up a line, sand and algae are the main culprits.
