I am in the mood to design and build a large airplane. I Am going to start from scratch. This plane is going to be based on pictures of the senior telemaster with around a 96 inch wingspan. There used to be a formula as far as what the fuselage lenght should be, the stabalizer width, in comparrision to the wingspan, any ideas?
Also to make it easier to transport,I want to make a two piece wing and remember an article about using arrow shafts, help!
The plane is going to be a flat bottom, low wing airplane with either a Large two stroke or gas engine.
I am hoping to try to use foam board for most of the constuction, has anybody tried this material?
Here is the kicker, I am going to try to build this as inexpensive as possible, all for under two hundred dollars with possibly using a converted weed wacker engine.
I have scatched built about a dozen planes before and except for the first one they all flew well.
If I can accomplish this I hope to send a article in to the magazine to help other get started in giant aircraft.

Good luck. If you dive into this project, post some pics. Especially of the motor!!
