I have a TC3 and I am running a Reedy 19 spec motor. On the car is a 72t 48 pitch gear. What would be a good pinion for good low and high in speed?

Check your manual to see all the different gearing combinations. I think you're asking for a pinion with good acceleration and top speed, but thats not really possible with a single speed. You probably going to have to sacrafice one for the other. On a short smaller track, use a pinion with less teeth for more accel, and on a big long track use a pinion with more teeth to get a higher top speed. Hope this helps.

Start with a 26 pinion and go up or down depending on how hot it gets and how it does.

Same pinion per the manual, I think I have a 27 on mine and it's a tight track.

for the revenge of the monster...i use 72t spur and 23t pinion. This is the best combo for speed/torque.

The 26t seems to work really well. Thanks for the help, and if any one is in the Houstons,Texas area come and race at Lunatic Hobbies .www.**************.com
