I just bought a pouch that contained a washer, gold spring, and silver spring. Its goes by the spur gear, and currently I have a hydra drive installed. I'm taking out the hydra drive and putting these in, which will return it to its stock setup as far as that goes. I know I don't need to use both these springs but I'm wondering what the difference beteween the two is. The gold spring is slightly longer than the silver. Does the gold offer more torque? speed? help anyone!
Thanks,
Tenacious

Try going to wild hobbies and downloading the manual if they still have it available. I check another one of my links for another website the lists older vehicle manuals.

I think the gold spring is for the truck, and the silver is for the buggy. I think. Try the silver first and see how your buggy reacts when driving it. If it's squirrely, try the gold one. Man, it's been forever since I had to work on a Hydra-Drive unit...still cool, though. :D

I assume your not talking about the difference in color :p I think what you've been told is right though. The springs on my ST's are all gold, and the one's on my brothers buggies are silver. I'm not really sure of this though, it could just be coincidence. Who knows , maybe the only difference really is the color

I had a JRX2 and all it came with was the silver spring, you changed how the slipper engaged by changing to lighter or heavier fluids. I sold it just as the stadium trucks came out. Also checked a few of the sites and even the Losi website they have no downloads on the models that used the hydro drive systems or even list information on the hydro drive tranny anymore.
