I use a Jr2 for drag in a parking lot.My question is I put a 10X2 motor(trinity)Whit the 98 spur and 23 pinon the car race good ,them I put a 9X5 motor whit the same pinon whit no good result.What pinon I need to see the car fly?I race 8 cell batteries.

THe higher number of winds, the more speed. ie 10x2 accelerates faster than a 10x5. It's like a fine tuning feature on a motor. I say go down a pinion, and if that doesnt work, go down another pinion.

I agree with JP, running a motor with 5 winds is going to take awhile for it to get up to max rpm's. I would also recommend experimenting with gearing, with that 9x5 you are going to want to go lower to get faster acceleration. Or maintain your current gearing and go with a 9x2 motor.
