Hi all, i'm new here and to the hobby. I'm very excited about this new hobby though and can't wait to finish my first project.

My question is this:

How easy is it to go back and hop up a car with upgraded parts.

i'm just starting work on my Tamiya tt01 and am wondering if i should just order the hop ups (alum bearings, alum driveshaft, oil filled shocks etc etc) now, or if i can go back after building the car and add the hop ups as time/finances allow.

pls and thanks!

Kaz

Your best bet is to go back afterwards for the hop ups. Once you do hop ups, do one at a time. This way, you can see the effect each hop up is having or improving.

As long as you are are willing to spend a little bit of time, there will be no problem with going back and installing the hop ups that you get as finaces allow. If you don't feel like taking apart most of the car, I would advise that you build the car with the upgraded ball bearings (NOT aluminum bearings). As long as you are comfortable with taking apart your car and rebuilding (you won't need a manual after a couple of times) you can install any sort of hop ups your finances allow. Hope you enjoy this hobby!

Almost forgot, welcome to the boards. Once you decide to put hop ups on your car, post on here to see what some folks are doing to their car first.
