My choice is either the Noval Dually or the GT7. My track only does a 1/10 Truck Mod class, so I will need to be one with no motor limit. Are all of the features with the GT7 worth the extra money? This willl be going into either a MF2 or T4 Factory. Not to sure about the different model of LRP's?

If those are your choices I would go with the GT7. Mine works great.

What about the LRP v7.1? I found one for the same price as the GT7.

Both the V7.1 and GT7 are excellent ESC's. I'd say go with the GT7 since its newer and smaller.

LRP Quatum Competition 2 is a great ESC. If your sticking to those choices, then go with the GT7.

GT7 is a solid pick. If you have multiple electric's, with the GT7 you can rotate it around which saves a lot of money.

What about the LRP IPC Pro Sport? It has no motor limit as well and is fairly cheap in price. But is it a good ESC? I've currently got an Explorer II and it has a motor limit of just 15turns. I haven't tried to put less on it but I almost don't dare to. I'm not a hardcore racer but I'm still being drawn in by the high-buck high-performance of the GT7 and the new coming GTX. I'm wondering if I should hold out for the GTX or try and find a good deal on something else. All I've ever known is Novak :o

I think which model or brand esc you select depends on your driving experience and what level of abilty you have obtained. Some with limited or first time experience may never tell the difference between the entry level to the high end esc and your driving abilty may limit obtaining the performance of a high end esc. But I do recommend that for those thinking of getting into racing either in a club or increasing to a more competitive level go with the mid priced to high end esc in that way it saves you money when you find the lower price esc doesn't keep up with you driving ability.

I 've owned and used Novaks (t4 to GT7), Tekin (410 to G9 models) LRP (IPC Competition to V7.1), Quantum 1 &2. While I tend to use the lesser priced esc for play I've found for personal preference certain brands fell and respond better for certain forms or racing.
