The reason I ask is because I know this isn't a place for classifieds, but I will be selling my RC10T Team Truck on eBay in a few days and I really have no idea how much it's worth or how much I should ask for it. It's in great condition with a few aftermarket hop-ups, so if I were to make a brief list of things, could someone give me an idea of what it's worth and about how much I could probably sell it for? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, but 50 bucks!? No way! I'll never sell it for that little. It's not box stock and it looks almost new. I mean jeez, the speed control alone cost over twice that. If that's all I can expect to get out of it, I'll just keep it. I'd be getting ripped off hard core by selling it for that price. I guess I'll just have to put it up and see what people are willing to pay for it. Thanks for the response.

Well, the next question is, what electronics do you have in it? I know it would be more worth your money to sell it as chassis for around 50-100$ and then make a deal like if u get the chassis, u can get the lectronics for only like 100$ more or sell it all separate. That would probably be your best bet. What eclectronics do you have?

As far as electronics go, it has a Novak Hammer Pro ESC, Duratrax PowerPole connectors, a new Trinity P2K Pro stock motor, and a Futaba FP2PB Sport radio and receiver. I'll also probably include a Trinity Onyx 14D modified motor, but it needs to have the commutator turned and new brushes (it's not installed on the truck, though). I probably won't include a battery unless the buyer insists, in which case it would most likely be a Sanyo matched pack; no charger. Here's just a few other things:

brand new chassis; never used
titanium tierods/turnbuckles
titanium ball studs w/ Losi lock nuts
RPM caster blocks and suspension arms
MIP gold shock shafts and blue seals
MIP ball bearing steering (not installed)
new Boca bearings for rear wheels
Losi Gold rear tires and box-stock Associated front tires
new Road Hawgs

The truck has been completely taken apart, cleaned, and everything rebuilt. I have a lot of other misc. items included as well, but this is the main stuff.

Maybe you shouldnt sell it and keep it as a collectors item because it is preety rare. That's what I would do.

What you have to understand Justin is that your truck is WAY outdated and is WAY outclassed compared to new stuff.

Let me put it this way:
I have a GMC S15 Jimmy 2dr from 1985. I have lifted it 4" suspension and 2" body. I put a one ton suspension on it and a fiberglass cowl hood. Then I pulled the anemic 2.8 out, bored it to a 3.4, stroked, polished and blueprinted it and matched it up to a TCI 700-R4 tranny, bolted on headers, had the heads shaved, and bought Edelbrocks intake and cam kit, and put in Richmond 4.11 gears front and rear. It has a full stereo system and power everything. It sits in 35" All Terrain KOs, American Racing Rims, Tinted windows, shaved door handles, and power tailgate.

But seeing it is a 15 year old truck it is worth..............................

..........................................
.............$2000 to my insurance company. If some schmoe runs into me on the road that is all I'll ever see for it. I put well over $15,000 into her but it doesn't matter to anyone else.

It is the same way with your truck. Consider that with electronics they are worth 25% of their NIB price once they are used. Everything else is worth at the most 45% of it's new price if it is still mint. If it has any wear it is worth MAYBE 30% of new price when sold.

If you aren't willing to take the loss then don't sell it.

If you do sell it, take out ALL the electrics and sell it as a COLLECTOR's rolling chassis.

Those nut balls on Ebay will gladly pay 100 bucks for a mint 10T for their collections.

The cars that get the higest prices are those that are close to untouched condition. Meaning that it has all the factory parts and no hop-ups or it is unbuilt in box. I saw a 10T new in box go for 500 bucks because of its rarity.

Later.

Thank you for the advice, and I understand your point very well. I wasn't expecting to get $300 out of it or anything. I just didn't know how much to expect. I didn't think this truck was rare at all. I thought Team Trucks were everywhere. I guess I could keep it and just buy a new body, but I don't know. It would just sit around and collect dust. Then again, my shelf with all my ribbons and trophies would look pretty bare without the truck that won them http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif Thanks guys. I appreciate your help.

i dont know if this helps, but i recently (1 year ago) sold a stock rc10T with 3 stock motors, 2 bodies, and a futaba atack 2 chanel radio with a traxxas X-L1 speedo for $110.
And i also sold an Original RC10 golden bathtub, stock, in perfect condition with no radio gear or body. just the chassis alone with a set of spare wheels and tires for $70. and that was mint.
dont know if this helps. but i tried.
later,
keith

Actually, that does help a bit, Keith. Anything to give me a better idea of what to expect! I think if I sell it, I'll set the min. bid at $50 and let everyone duke it out from there http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif Thanks!
