i have a stock xxt with bearings, kyosho motor tekkin esc hitech radio. i want to race it but it needs work, is it worth the money to hop it up, would it still be able to compete with the other t3's and xxxt's on the track? or should i get a new car, maybe a t3 but associated may make a new kit to compete with the xxxt and i dont have mush cash, i cant decide?

The XXT can still compete just fine. From your other thread I see your on a budget so I would repair what ever is broken. It will be cheaper than a new truck. Then go racing. You may surprise yourself. The best hop up is practice.

It isn't the guy with the newest/most expensive equipment that wins! Its the guy with the most practice and experience. When racing offroad, I drive a T2 that I bought when the were brand new. I have absolutely no hop-ups on the thing and I am still competetive. Last winter I met a guy that drove a bone-stock Rustler with a P2K stock motor, and he was beating guys with XXXT's and T3's in the mod class. He was just a better driver. Fix what you have, don't get suckered into the "newer and expensive is better" thing. You'll always lose that way.
