Turning stick packs into side by side packs

Is it possible to convert stick packs into side by side packs by breaking the stick pack apart and resoldering as side by side. Anyone ever try this?

Yes, it is possible. You will have to rip off the steel ribbons connecting the cells, but it isn't too hard to do. Just be sure to pull off as many of the little bits as you can, so the solder and battery bars will adhere well.

go to www.balakracing.com then go to the equpiment link then go to batteries then to converting stick packs.
i have done this many times so i could use the batteries on my losi xxx and xray t1 evo2

very possible, very fun,and the batteries look better in side by side than stick

I did this to a stick that had a bad cell. WOrked out fine. After I cut the strips off, I use a dremel to take off the left over welds.
