Hey all,
Does anyone know a supplier (online) that sells the Miss Bud 1/8 for under 1099.00?
Thanks in advance

They're all going to be pretty much the same price wherever you buy it. One of my LHS's has one and ships Worldwide, www.rlhobbies.com .

I hate to even say it but save your money and get a better boat. I had one and while it looked like a million bucks it didn't run like one. I am not sure if the new ones out are improved any over the old ones with the G23 engine. The engine was too far back, the hardware was cheap, the flex cable system was misaligned and caused me many headaches, the hull was thin and flimsy in many spots, the exhaust was loud and sripped out of the engine, and last but not least it was very slow.

If you REALLY WANT A MISS BUDWEISER, build one. You can get plans from Newton Marine for just about any year of Miss Budweiser. It's cheaper cost wise, you get a better boat, and most importantly, you can say you did it yourself. The other nice part about building it yourself is you can make it any size you want, depending on what you want for size and engine displacement.

With 5 Kids, a demanding job and college I wish I had the time to build one from scratch. Maybe when I retire one day :-)

The G260 Miss Buds are much faster than the G23's. They will easily do 40's and are sometimes hard to keep in the water. I just installed a clutch in mine, which makes it even more fun, with no loss of power.
Check out his one on ebay...

It has the J&G 25 motor, which produces more power than a G260...should be a screamer!

you should ask yourself this...do you want a miss bud, or just a 1/8 hydro?? there are a lot better 1/8 boats out there than the bud. all for about the same price (some cheaper) and all better! i'd never put the $1100+ into a bud after everything i've heard.

Something about that Bud up for bid smells fishy. Why would somebody put in a J&G motor and then remove the JR FM radio system and put in a Futaba AM radio in it?
Anyway, back to the first question that was asked. ProBoat has a "Retail" price that no one that wants to sell one at unless they want it on their shelf for serious dust collecting. Next is their price that everyone sells them at and that is the minimum allowed price for a new boat. What they do to those that would try to sell one at less than that price, I don't know. Probably something like not selling them any more ProBoats or lose their Horizon Hobbies account.

I agree with Ron, something's not right. I'm wondering it the hull has cracks or is delaminating. Could the engine be worn out or damaged? I wouldn't even think about touching this one

I noticed also that the person had only had 23 feedbacks and most of them were for things that he bought. Now he all of a sudden has a whole lot of things up for bid. What's worse are people that are selling things for others on eBay. That seems to be their escape clause. There is something about how the spelling is bad and it's typed in CAPS that makes me think of another slithery seller that has been booted off of there too many times because of the shafting that he gave buyers. Same neck of the woods.

Now we all know how much water gets in them where's the bailers and why the am radio. Sounds like a project boat with the goodies removed/replaced. Last one sold for $650 something on Evil bay

Are you thinking stripped of what was there and sell with second rate or used stuff installed to replace the factory installed equipment? I said it before and I'll say it again, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!
