Got a Pro-line F350 extended wheelbase body for my Nitro Quake. Too added MT3 rims & Losi Zombie Maxx tires. Opinions> Should I add more decals or leave as is?

Oh I have a big decal for top of the truck should the decal face towards the front or rear? or maybe slant it Thanks

I had to open this thread twice. At first glance I thought it was a real monster truck or something, then on second look it really is an rc truck. Good job I like it simple and executed nicely.

Quake
Looks cool.
Where did you get the colored suspension parts and who makes those tires?
Thanks.

Yeah, that first shot looks just like a real truck. The perspective on it makes it look full size!

I'm glad that I'm not the only who thinks that the first photo looks like a real truck. Jeeze some people around here think that I'll type anything just to get a post.

The susp parts I use a rubber spay called Plasti-Dip. I works very well its durable Ive had it on for a couple years and just a few little scuffs on the bottom of the arms. it lasts.
The tires are Losi Zombie Maxx.

:D

Hey, Quake, try this sometime for making it look real. Get a 3-5 foot square piece of plywood and paint it a flat medium grey. You might need a bigger piece... experiment before you decide on the size and paint it.

Put a brick under each corner and the center and put it about where your truck is in that top pic. Lie on the ground and get the camera super low and frame the truck in the viewfinder so you don't see the front, left, or right edges of the plywood and so you barely see the back edge and it looks like it runs to the bottom of that fence in the background. Have a friend stand somewhere between you and the fence and stick one arm out as if they're leaning against that left front tire.

You will probably have to experiment so how far you are from that fence back there looks right in relation to the person pretending to lean against the tire.

This is nothing more complicated than those photos people take in Italy where they make it look like their friend is holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa... but kind of in reverse... I'm sure you get the idea.

And you can skip the whole plywood thing if you can just get the camera real low and not show the bottom of the tires and cut off the person's feet.

I might just try that!! I've seen pics where people make it look like their driving the vehicle. Sometimes you can find them on ebay. I particularly like the ones where some guy makes his girlfriend stand in that sellers pose and has her pic taken with the RC vehicle

LOL
I agree. I started scrolling down slowly and for a split second I kinda did a double take cause the swingset in the bckground makes it look like a real size truck.

Cool pic. No more decals needed.
