You can get rubber tires for it. Bolink sells a set, it comes with rimes, foam inserts, wheel disk, and tires glued on. I think they're called street tred. You can find them on Tower's site. I also think they use all proline stuff.

Yes good old Novak Explorer 2's I used to have one when i was into electrics, and i went through anything with it, snow, puddles, mud, once fell into a small pond literally everything, (it was installed on aa beat up ralley car, well anyways my point is i fried like 5 recievers and yet, eventhough it wasn't protected i never fried that esc, oh and i was using a 9 double on there (i think the motor limit is like 15 turns)

malici

yea its a good car i haven run it yet but i heard it can do wheelies doughnuts flips rolls and u can jump it! but i also heard it has allot of push but thats cuz of the wheelie action. i think its a mix between a 1/10th scale and a 1/12 scale its 1 foot long and 8 inches wide.

TC3Racer
08-14-2001, 04:15 PM
BoLink has always looked pretty basic to me. thats good though cuz that way its easy to work on! nice digger.

rims'
08-14-2001, 06:09 PM
theyre cheep too

malici
08-14-2001, 06:28 PM
The car will steer a lot better if you add a diff. They sell for like $12. It would also help if you move the battery so it sits inside the frame rails. You might be able to use a battery tray from a Legends, but you'll need to drill holes in the frame rails to fit it.

Sweet Digger!! Hey you said bolinks do wheelies? does it havea wheelie bar and how long does it do a wheelie?

rims'
08-14-2001, 06:42 PM
could i use a futaba s3003 servo and what kinda servo saver should i get

rims'
08-14-2001, 07:03 PM
it does have a wheelie bar and it prolly depends on how fast of a motor to tell how long it does a wheelie

bullfrog
08-14-2001, 07:12 PM
yep u sure can use that servo and bolink reccomends a kimbrough servo saver but n e kind can be used.

rims'
08-14-2001, 11:33 PM
isnt the only difference between the digger and digger 2 the body? y does it cost 5 bux more???

jeepinator
08-14-2001, 11:42 PM
The Diggers are really stinking fast !
I won one in a raffle at the RC track quite a few years ago.
I built it and right off the bat (first run) put a 14 turn motor in there.

CRAAAAAAAAAZY !

I had to pull the trigger very slow in order to keep it from torquing up on one wheel, or flipping over backward, or something crazy like that. The sound they make when zipping by at 50 MPH is pretty cool too !

Have fun with yours !

bullfrog
08-15-2001, 12:11 AM
SWEET JEEP! o and the only difference between the digger and the digger 2 is the digger 2 has a new vw bug bodie and the rear end has 2 ride heights. the digger has an old bug bodie and it doesnt have adjustable ride height.

rims'
08-15-2001, 12:40 AM
wow i've gotta get one must make money...myst get fast car...

his oint is bolinks are fast. I think thats what he means. I know my legend is too fast some times with a p2k. and others are faster

you can also get brp touring car tire adapters. they let you run any touring car rim and tire combo you want. thats what I use and it works great. but they are pretty expensive

rims'
08-15-2001, 02:30 AM
spazzing out.....must have digger...

rims'
08-15-2001, 02:55 AM

bullfrog
08-16-2001, 06:11 PM

malici
08-16-2001, 08:36 PM
BRP has a site with pictures of the adaptor. I can't rember the adress. Also they cost about $40 a set with no rims or tires.

Bullfrog, I am glad to see you are getting your car together, and I am sure that they will be fast. That custom gear cover looks awesome, maybe you should send it in as a "Pit Tip", I mean heck, it can't hurt.

bullfrog
08-20-2001, 08:44 PM
hey guys THIS THING IS FAST!!!! man its a blast to drive it does wheelies flips rolls man this thing is so cool! i dont know about how long the tires will last but they get so pretty good grip. the handeling sucks and it has a TON of push but its suppose to be a fun car. i dont think it needs a faster motor because with my stock tamiya motor its hard to control!

[ 08-20-2001: Message edited by: bullfrog ]

rims'
08-20-2001, 11:59 PM
how fast would you estimate it goes?

bullfrog
08-21-2001, 12:36 AM
probbably about 20.

rims'
08-21-2001, 01:03 AM

bullfrog
08-21-2001, 01:32 AM
good luck getting a smooth takeoff! lol i love how fast it is should i just turn it into a dragster?? :D

rims'
08-21-2001, 01:34 AM
if you put a 15 turn in it it would fly with the dragsters. thats what i'm gonna do wit mine

bullfrog
08-21-2001, 03:06 AM
so should I????

rims'
08-21-2001, 03:14 AM
yeah sure
btw:how much do the foam tires cost and how many runs do you get till you absolutely need to replace them

bullfrog
08-21-2001, 03:29 AM
well my street is kinda rough and for my street i would say 10 runs but I drive my tires till my spure gear scrapes the ground.heh but on tower they sell a tire SET for 20 bucks and the wheels r chrome!
o and when i finish my drag conversion ill post pics.

[ 08-21-2001: Message edited by: bullfrog ]

rims'
08-21-2001, 03:34 AM
to make a wheelie bare that will last awhile take brass tubing that is just big enough to fit an abec-7 bearing on to it then mount it to the car. the bearing will allow the car to wheelie till its outta sight! hehe

rims'
08-21-2001, 03:42 AM
wait....what kinda things will you do to it to make a drag conversion?

rims'
08-21-2001, 03:57 AM
i know this sounds stupid but how do you pronounce kimbrough? example remote=ree mo t

bullfrog
08-21-2001, 04:01 AM
well i would figure slam it get a wheelie bar, spoiler, and move allot of the weight to the rear wheels. as the the kimbrough thing i think its ( kim-bro )

rims'
08-21-2001, 04:05 AM
well i would figure slam it get a wheelie bar what does this meen?

XXXER
08-21-2001, 10:47 AM
bullfrog, you send in pit tips to Bob hastings: bobh@airage.com

send the pic along with it.

rims'
08-21-2001, 03:39 PM
yah man you could get like top tip or something

rims'
08-21-2001, 04:30 PM
xxxer if i have a tip but i suck at drawing what do i do should i just explain it as best as i can or what?

bullfrog
08-21-2001, 05:01 PM
hey steve i sent in a better pit tip last night the gear cover didnt hold up to the conditions that i put the digger through.

rims'
08-21-2001, 05:03 PM
thats cuz you had the hole in it! ;)

rims'
08-22-2001, 05:16 AM
dude you should build a little cage for the digger as not to wreck the body

rims'
08-22-2001, 05:17 AM
what other bodies fit the digger???

rims'
08-22-2001, 05:25 AM
well i think i'll wait on the digger and get a tamiya f150 lightning xb series. isnt it just a pre-built TL01? well i did this because i cant handle foam tires at the moment

rims'
08-23-2001, 01:12 AM
anyone gonna answer me???

bullfrog
08-23-2001, 01:21 AM
only the bodies that are made for the digger will fit the digger. they dont have a xb series for the TLO1 u can only get the rtr kit.

rims'
08-23-2001, 01:31 AM
no check out the xb series by tamiya its got a TL01 chassis anyway i'll prolly get the kit for like 80 bux

rims'
08-23-2001, 01:43 AM
ok look at the september issue of rcca and look at the tc shootout they have one in there

bullfrog
08-23-2001, 04:35 AM
yea thats the one im talking about.

rims'
08-23-2001, 04:43 AM
was yours a kit or a pre built?
