I have a JR XR3 radio and I have it set up in my T-Maxx and RC-10GT. It works fine in the T-Maxx, but on the GT, I've been getting a lot of interference on race night. The truck runs perfect with no glitches if I'm running it by myself or if I'm out at the track and there's only a couple other people. But when I am racing 4 or 5 other people, the thing goes nuts! The wheels and throttle servo twitch like crazy. I've tried three different frequencies. All were close to frequencies others had, but I made sure nobody else had their radio on. The guy who owns the track I race at said that JR puts out the weakest signal out of Futaba Airtronics and some other brand, and that the recievers don't filter as well. Is this true? When this started, my radio was reading about 10.2 volts. But it was sitting right next to the truck when it does it. It only happens on race night. If I drive it by myself or with a couple other people on channels that aren't close to mine, it works great. No glitching what so ever. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Thanks! Matt

The receiver is brand new. The RX battery I'm using is brand new as well, but I tried it with a couple other packs that I know are good and it still does it. I'm gonna be pissed if my RX is bad. Matt

I have the same problem with my JR X2 on my Losi XXX Kinwald. I was thinking it was the Graphite chassis but the reciever antenna wire isn't touching anywhere. I'm prositive I have the capacitors on my electric motor installed correctly. It's bothering my too, because every once in a while it will jerk while I'm driving sending my off on some tangent.

I've heard the exact opposite about JR, that when tested their signal is stronger than a futaba and pretty much the same as an Airtonics. I'm running an XR3 in my FTB3 and FTT3 and I have yet to have it as much as think about glitching - check and make sure you dont have a wire exposed, etc.

I went and raced tonight and didn't have one glitch at all. It's one of those weird problems you can never figure out, but you're always worried that it will come back and bite you in the a** when you really need it. We're having a really big race next weekend at my local track. Hopefully it will cooperate! I came in second in the main tonight. Matt

Hi Matt,
Mine did the same thing before my receiver fried. I was using it in my 1/8 scale buggy. It would glitch like crazy at the races..then one day it just popped, and you could smell the burned electronicds inside of it. Also check your rx batts.

Are the crystals in the right freqency? did you get them mixed up, if your tmaxx is fine, but the gt is not, mixed crystals might be the problem

IF YOU'RE USING A JR RADIO, YOU HAVE TO USE A JR RECEIVER OR A RECEIVER SPEC'ED FOR JR RADIOS. I leanred the hard way.. What a stupid thing, eh?
