Hey there guys/girls?? My Name is Dan..I am 18 live in Beautifull British Columbia Canada. I am just starting in this hobby, There isnt much choice around my area to buy, so I may order but I am going to get a Touring Car very soon. Like next paycheck. I am going to buy a kit, becuase I don't like the idea of not customizing my car. The shell I am going to buy no matter what is a Ford Focus after my car. I am going to make it the little twin of my car. (different color though) . I don't know much, I have done a lot of research in the area, and bought a few magazines. I want mine to be nitro powered for sure. But yeah so far thats me. I am probably going to one of the only in my area to be driving, so Racing won't be an option untill I go down island, which I will. Well thats me, and I hope to learn a lot from you guys/Girls. Thanks for your time. It's been a blast.
Peace-
Grudly

Kas, Welcome to this wonderful hobby. I would not suggest a nitro because there very difficult to tune and such but if u are stuck on nitro then i'd suggest somthing like the nitro RS4 2 i'm trying to save for one myself. It has a .15 engine with only one needle to set so that makes it very nice. So good luck and have fun!! I'm sure you will like this hobby cya.

Don't get thrown off by all the people that tell you not to get a nitro for your first vehicle. They really aren't that difficult.

If there's no one around to race with, do you really want to do a tournig car (needs relatively clean asphault, flat, few cracks) or world something more into the off road catagories do you better??

Hey Kas, I'm from Comox as well. If I were you, I would opt for a Nitro truck, beit a stadium or monster truck. Something with a good selection of aftermarket hop up items. I would pick an Associated RC10GT or a Traxxas T-Maxx. Either truck has a whole list of parts and good factory support. The T-Maxx is an awesome looking truck. I'm in the process of buying either a T-Maxx or a 1/8 gas buggy right now and I already have a 10GT.
The reason to go with Nitro is you can re-fuel and go, no messing around with batteries, speed controls, peak chargers. Just get a ready-to-run (R-T-R) and add fuel and have a blast!
E-mail me if you want to!

Thanks for your suggestion, but i am preatty focused on getting a TC..although off road interests me, I am more into Sport. and I will be getting a nitro, I am sure of it. as for a RTR I am excited most about building my own vehicle, and painting it.
but your suggestions have been taking to heart, and hopefully we can meet some time soon.
