I havent been into the RC scene lately, so I was wondering if any company has some out with an Evolution 8 body yet. And if they havent, why not?!?!

I wouldn't be surprised if HPI comes out with that next month!!

Nobody makes the Evo VIII yet, but Tamiya made/makes Evos IV through VIII.
Since the Mitsubishi Lancer WRC for 2004 is significantly different from the street version (See below), Tamiya and HPI likely won't make a street-able version of the VIII, given their propensity for making the WRC versions of cars.

Of course, Mitsubishi is pulling out of the WRC for the rest of the 2004 season after the next round in Germany, and may not return in 2005. That would mean there are no rally versions of the Lancer to copy, so HPI might make a street one afterall.
As for why they don't make one yet, besides the rally factor, the Lancer VIII is kinda ugly. The front end looks like a Pontiac Sunfire, and it just looks too 'tame' compared to the previous versions, or the Subaru Impreza STi.

Thanks guys.
They should make a street version, that what I think most people would want.

Yeah i agree i think that HPI should definitely make both the rally and the street version of this body. Seriously though this car is not just a drifter if you look at some of the Japanese tuners they have been using the previous EVO's for a long time as cars for time attack and what not. Just my $.02.
XXX/TC3 you work in a shop and get to work on EVO's and the like. That is awesome if I could afford a real one at nineteen i would definitley buy one.

Man, I wanna scout out insurance for one real soon. even though, I don't have a whole lot of rust on my car, it's still enough to bother me, plus I need more power. my car tips the scale at 2923 lbs. and I gotta change that. I used to own a dsm talon tsi, awd, and turboed. I boosted too much, and actually ended up wit broken axles..so I sold her. Now, after workin on that blue one yesterday, I am in love. Guess what came in today? A fricken yellow one!! I dunno what to do! The oil change on it was soo clean..it had 2495 miles on it..wow! Full synthetic oil too! ended up costing 64 bucks! But, I would sooo do that for my baby...

well, u go ahead and get one then..need a mechanic? I will work on it for ya. Does dad get lower insurance rates too? I can afford a monthly payment of 511, for 72 months, but I cannot afford that on top of 3600 bucks every 6 months for insurance as well! That leaves me no gas money to enjoy the darn thing. So, until then I will jsut stick wit my slower, lower accord..thanks. The day will come..and I will get one..
