Does anybody know where I can get an onroad track building kit. What I mean is one of those plastic barriers that they have at races. I've seen these plastic barriers at races that they set up for the day and they take them down after the race. I've looked on tower hobbies and they dont have anything.

You should check your LHS (local hardware store) i think its PVC pipe that they use, well thats what my track uses, just get the correct diameter and buy lots of it, and get some 90 degree bends too. :D

How about some of that big (8inch diameter) flexable pipe they use for landscaping? That should hold up well and you can easily mold it around the track. You can even drill holes at the top and fill it with sand to help weigh it down.

The LHS here uses old fire house for track barries. Works really well, won't destroy your car when you hit it either.

Dont they have to fill the hoses with water/sand though? If not its all floppy and a car could probably drive over it. Do what outsider says, probably one of the best ways out now, and it wont ruin your car if u hit it. The onroad track here does it and just puts sand bags every so often so if you hit somewhere else, it just kinda bends out of your way.

BTW, LHS means Local Hobby Shop usually...

Naa, they just leave then flat against the ground. You can see them just fine, and so what if your car bounces over it, its better than tearing off an A-Arm or something. :)

ok from what i get, u mean that black flexible water piping. I want to use this as something i can put up real quick and be able to take down. I will be using it in a parkinglot accros the street at a church (no one there during the day) Will it be portable?

Do what outsider said, and buy the big black tubing. That stuff is pretty popular around here, and it has more give when you hit it than PVC. If you don't have a diver's stand it will be a little tricky to see a touring car over the big tubing, so I suggest you build one.
