Hi,
I want to put E-Maxx wheels on my tamiya baja champ, I'm not sure if they'll fit at all though. I know that the maxx hex parts are 14mm instead of 12mm.
If somebody could have a look and check if there's something in the way, that would be great. :)
bye,

I'm pretty sure the suspension won't be able to handle wheels and tires that big, and the gearing is so limited in that chassis you wouldn't be able to go gear low enough to accomodate them.
Besides, the hexes on the Baja Champ are 12mm, not 14mm.
You could probably get away with using 2.2" truck tires on the Baja Champ, like the ones on the Wild Dagger, but you would want to use an adjustable motor mount to get a low enough gear ratio.

E-maxx wheels will not fit. However, a TL-01 trype chassis, which is the sam eas a Baja Champ, with a 19 turn pinion, the car is already geared low enough to pull larger tires, depending on what motor you are using.

Well, as I've said, the 14mm hex size isn't the problem.
At the moment I've got menace wheels which are about 8cm in diameter, I think, and there's quite some room left.
Would maxx tires hit the chassis or something like that?

as mentioned before, it isnt the problem of them fitting, its the gearing. With tires that size, you are basically cutting the drive ratio in half. I havnt dealt with your car in person, but have my doubts that you could make the gearing low enough for those tires.
