Im 12 and a made a track all by my self and it has a 11 foot triple thats 3 feet high i get 6 feet of of it with me 11 turn.

thats a cool jump to put in a track and make sure your track is about 4-5 feet wide.

with plenty of rythem sections (small dubels tripels etc.).

Another good section is two 2 foot tall dubels (3 foot long) that are about 7 feet apart so the mod racers can't jump to far.

Hey guys I have a layout for gas racers that I have been working on and the layout goes something like this:

Straight, turn 1,short straight, turn 2, then turn 3, short straight, then turns 4,5,and 6 all with a very short straight in between, then a X-over jump that crosses the straight between turn 3 and 4 then turn 7 after the landing ramp short chute with doubles, turn 8 turn 9 very tight right hander, then immediately into turn 10 and the pit entrance is off to the left of the straight between turn 10 and 11, and then the front straight away with a 6 ft tabletop and then to the start finish line to complete the lap.

Hope you like it I am hping to build it sometime before I leave for college next fall. and when it is finished youre all invited for the grand opening!!! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Try this layout on for size. YOu can race gas or electric on it:

FRont straight, turn 1(left), short chute, turn two(left), short chute, turn 3(right)long straight(about 30 ft) turn 4,5,and 6 ( all right) then a short straight into a X-over jump, then the landing and then turn 7(right), then turn 8 (left), then a short straight with a rhythm jump, then turn 9 (left), then a 15 ft straight with a set of long rollers, then turn 10 (left) then to complete the lap full throttle sprint up the front straight (60 ft) and jump the tabletop and cross the start/finish on the other side.

well, when i get the pics of my rustler up, i am gonna try to scan my paper overhead drawing of my "track" that i want. it will be kool. (for me atleast) by my eyeballing measurements, i think it is north and south is about 50 ft. and east and west if approximately 100 ft. it might be like 150 or something. i dotn know.

ok. on the 50 ft side on the east side of the track there is the start and the driverstand (i dont knwo where to put the stand) and then a quick turn, then a medium sixe jump, then a turn, a long straight away, then a turn, and a small straight with a small jump, then a quick turn comes up before u know it, and u need to haul *** cuz u are gonna jump over the long straight u just came from 3 turns ago, and when u come of that jump, u hit a quick turn, and a 4 ft tall tabletop greets u with a 6 foot gap. then, u really get to test yur speed skill against yur closest enemy on a 50 ft straight away. (i might put some doubles or a triple there, not sure) then, after that, u have a 100ft straight where a 4 and a half ft tall tabletop greets u with its 8 foot long top. and then u come to a turn then u are at the start again. i think its really kool. i want to build it, but it will cost me like $500-$600 and i want to get a t-maxx next year, and i dont know if my aunt will give me that much money!!!!!!!! lol.

how ya like thems apples aspringrcracer!!! hmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!! :P **** on dat foo!!! hehe. ooooooo yea..........

How about this???

From starting line: 131 ft. straight into 180* L turn. chute with roller into an offcamber 180* R turn. Into another chute into a 180* turn into a Double into a 90* L turn into 30 ft. short straight, into a 90* R turn chute/rythym section 45* R into 30 ft. straight with Table top into a 180* L turn 15 ft. straight into 100* R offcamber turn into L sweeper back to start line. A 100 ft. pit road off of the straight.

Took 100 tons of clay and 3 weeks to build it with a team of about 10 guys. Only raced on it a couple of times because of the tremendous amounts of rain we've been getting on the East Coast.

hey guys!! sorry i havent been here, i was thinking this topic was in hpi forum, and i havent been here in a while!!!

well, the track i want has 9 turns.

i am still changing the jumps. i was thinking about instead of having a tabletop on the last stragiht, how bout a 30 foot triple? or like a 20 foot double? or a 5 ft tall table top with a 15 FOOT GAP!!!!!!!??????? boy i am evil. hehehehe http://smilecwm.tripod.com/dvv/asthanos.gifhttp://smilecwm.tripod.com/dvv/sconf.gifhttp://smilecwm.tripod.com/owen/amidala.gif http://smilecwm. tripod.com/owen/biggs.gif http://smilecwm.tripod.com/owen/council.gifhttp://smilecwm.tripod.com/owen/trooper.gif http://smilecwm.tripod.com/owen/tie1 .gif http://smilecwm.tripod.com/owen/vader1.gif

Here is my brand new layout. Good for endurance racing(HINT, HINT! http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif) :

Sprint down front straight to tight left hand turn 1, short chute followed by hard left turn 2. short chute with doubles to uphill right turn 3 turns 4,5,and 6 all uphill followed by a flat short straight. then a long straght with an X-over jump (I call it the flight of faith) where the landing ramp is 5 feet BELOW the launch ramp!!! After a downhill outrun from the FoF (Flight of Faith for those who werent paying attention) a hard right turn 7 to a short chute to a downhill turn 8. this will allow racers to build speed for the triples un the short chute. then a hard right turn 9. then a quick chicane (turns 10 and 11) to a set of four dirt mounds. after going AROUND the dirt mounds, this sets them up for a hard left turn 12 and onto the front straight where a 5 ft table welcomes the end of the lap. I say tis because off the other side of the table is a short sprint to the Start Finish line.

HOPE YA LIKE IT!!!!!

aspiringrcracer710 - look back through this thread.... NO ONE CARES. You could at least use this messageboard for constructive threads and not clog it up with endless one-person threads, and then flame Nick for trying to have a bit of fun. And as for your ideas - I've seen better track designs in my jocks.

The reason that I started this thread was to see if there was anyone out there who could draw tracks like I do. I do it as a hobby so I figured there were other RCers out there who like doing that just the same. BTW I wasnt trying to flame Nick Pede for his layout. I just thought that if someone ran on it they could do some nasty things to the car. I wany tring to flame anybody. Nick if you read this Im sorry about my post that "flamed" you and all, and I hope you forgive me. I just wanted this thread as a forum for exchanging ideas for good track layouts and I went a tad overboard. OK I went VERY overboard so sorry to eveybody else too.

Maybe you have tapped into a new breed of r/c ing, REAL endurance races, make the track as punishing as possible, then it will be a challenge for both the driver and the manufactorer to be able to pull massive airs, crash, and basically do stuff to the cars that would be unheard of now.

One of my mates with an Inferno DX-4 (I think) and another with a HODR have been known to have demo derby's where they basically chase each other until they run out of fuel or break enough parts that the cars cant go any longer, its expensive, its messy, but boy is it fun.

BTW - I dindn't mean to flame ya so hard - your track designs are alright, i just added that comment at the end to create a bit of effect.

OK HERE IT IS!! (albeit one day early) WHAT PROBABLY IS THE CRAZIEST LAYOUT IN HISTORY!!!

from a MX style start, race over a series of rollers, then a left turn onto the course. jump the tabletop, then upon landing, maintain your speed because you are going over a triple almost immediately afterward. then hit turn one, a hard left with a halfroller. then a short chute hit a hard left(turn 2). After another short chute hit a series of three straight rights (turn 3,4, and 5) then haul tail because you are heading over an X-over jump with a 3 FT DROPOFF on the landing! then on landing, get your speed because you have a hard right hand turn 6. After another short chute head into turn 7. after a set of doubles, get on the brakes cuz you have a tight left turn 8. then another set of doubles. A quick right into a hairpin right turn 10. Then another short chute and a hard left turn 11. a pair of rhythm jumps, one final right turn then it is a sprint down the front straight, over the tabletop and then the Start finish line to complete the lap.

Hope you like it!

Start with a long straight into right sweeper, hard on the gas till ya hit the brakes on a tight right into the infield. Then mash it to try to clear all 4 whoops and blast a left off the berm onto a big triple. Land the car on the downslope of the triple, quick right, nail it again for another triple landing for a 180 left over the table. Hitting the down ramp off the table another right into the carousel and back to front straight.

Waddya say?

Ok HOw about this. A giant figure eight. Take off and Landing ramps at each intersection ( with about a 5 foot gap or more between each ) and maybe a few whoop-de-doos for added effect http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif
