ok, i've got the tamiya tb-02 evolution II limited edition touring car, and when i go out to drive it, it seems like the car is not getting any traction, i've got the speed gems jet 11t motor in there and the gearing is 27/88, and all it does when i punch it is kind of spins out and moves really slowly, anyone know what is going on here? the car didn't used to do that, it just used to hook up and go, but now it just spins out, could it be my motor wearing out? my tires are hpi ones(don't know the exact type) but they still have plenty of tread, so i don't think it is those, so if anyone could help me out here that would be great, thanks

Are the tires glued securely? If not then that can cause major slippage and poor acceleartion. Maybe your motor timing is retarded instead of advanced, thus giving more torque, and less RPM. I'm not sure how TC cars are geared, so I can't give insight to that, but also check the motor brushes and commutator to check for wear and tear. If the brushes are worn down badly, replace them, and if the comm is dirty clean it or get it cut.

It could be the tires and the driving surface: That's a heck of a motor, so if the surface is dusty, dirty, or at all slippery, you're going to break traction no matter what you do. Hoe does it corner at medium speed?

Are you sure the wheels are spinning? The diffs could be slipping.
