I saw the review in the april 2000 issue of this charger and it says in there that "the activator will charge ni-cds or nimh packs, but only those up to 2000 mah." Now does that mean i cant charge 2400 or 3000 batteries on there? Any help is appreciated. thanks.

Did you read the whole article?????? I guess not because the guy charged 3000 NiMh batteries up to a total voltage of like 9.3 volts. Read the whole article. Maybe they really can charge batteries over 2000 mAh??? I guess it wouldn't be recommended by the company, Pro Max.

The charger has adj. charge output (amperage) so the higher you have the amperage set the faster the battery will charge. But charging at a high amp is not good for your cells. I think the Activator can give out 6 amps. Charge time also depends on the capacity of you cells also.

The only charger that you can peak charge 3000's on the market right now is the NOVAK MELLINIUM DIGITAL LINEAR CHARGER. Its WAY expensive, but its worth it...

the tekin 112 series chargers can peak 3000's as well... just go to their web site and click where it says.. "3000 Ni-Mh cells"... the tekin that is DC only is not that expensive... and the AC/DC unit runs about 180 bucks.... about what you would pay for a millenium with an AC power source....
