How many people on this message board run stampede's with the clod tire conversion? I am curious to know how many use clod tires.
here is a picture of mine

Hey...i dont have the clod wheels yet. Did they slow ur truck down alot??? Although i do have a kool pede. Superrooster, 14t mod motor, aluminum idler, steel outdrives, front chassis brace, cs-80servo, etc..

When geared properly, with the right motor it doesn't slow down much. I am currently running a tekin reble with a Magnetic Mayhem (22 turn single) This motor has tons of torque and it will never stall out. But I find I have to loosen the slipper clutch to protect the gears.
I am geared 12/87 and I find that perfect right now. It has good speed ECXELLENT runtime (10 min with a 1500) And the motor doesn't get hot at all.
But if you are thinking about clod tires you must have alum idler, steel outputs, a strong spur (I use robinson's super stealth and super machined spur gears) I find those much stronger. Youy defintaly need rpm's 5x11 carriers, and a good strong servo(not standered) I run a 110oz which has all the torque I need.
The clod tires do slow it down a bit, but it makes the truck huge! (just measure 6-6.5 inches high and 4 inches wide)
Hope I helped

Did you get the clod wheels From K&J monster products or did u make them fit yourself? If u made them yourself did u just glue the stampede rims in the clod rims or what?
Oh yea I found a bunch of "t-maxx wheel adapters" on ebay that let you put t-maxx wheels on the stampede if anybody wants to know. But they were kinda expensive.
