I want to setup my TC3 with a 50/50 weight balance front to back and side to side. How can I gauge it's current balance? Does this only involve pressure on each wheel or can the chassis as a whole be measured?
Thanks.

Integy sells a weight distribution meter system check thingy, and I think it's about $80 or so. It measures by the weight of each wheel, but some chassis' are set up with holes down the center, so you can use a golf tee or something to check that.

If you are talking about the actual weight of the car being equal side to side, golf tees work well. If you are talking about equal weight on each wheel, a tweek station is nessesary. Mip, niftec, integy all make them.

You can get a ball park idea by checking the tweak find the center point of chassis then lifting rear and then front with the tip of an Exacto knife. If weight is distributed even both rear and front tires should lift at the same time. A set of digital scales is the ideal method pricing vary depending on items whether two scales or four, alignment system or just a setup board. It may be a bit cheaper buying the digital scales and using a board or plexiglass sheet and a means to setup and check the weight, I made a home made version for my oval car and can now use it for TC and offroad vehicle by repositioning the scales and square.
Anyone tried this new Integy "Team digital Weight Distribution system" ?

It seems to be good and not too expensive @ 90 US$
( Four digital scale setup is in the 300 US$, way too much money for me )
Otherwise I guess there is the new Hudy " Exclusive set-up board system " that measure tweak accuratly ( see in the hot news and new stuff section )
For the poor guys like me, the tee ( golf ) method gives a good idea of the left / right balance, I've used it before.

Get a hacksaw.
Mark the center of the car's wheelbase
Cut at that mark
Weigh each side to make sure they are equal
Good luck putting it back together
