I bought my daughter a pede and got the batteries for it today. Well the esc on the stampede has a different connector than the battery.

From what I can find on tower, I have a deans connector on my esc. I would gather that there is some type connector that allows the two to connect to each other. Any help of what connector I need would be greatly appreciated.
Little new to electric.

Do they make a deans to tamiya connector? Or do I have to cut off the plug on the battery and install a female deans plug?

Thanks,

Bryan

So will you be making an adapter or adding WS Deans plugs to the battery? I recommend replacing the battery connectors, as the white 'Tamiya' connectors have a lot of voltage loss and resistance. More power will get to the motor if you use Dean connectors all around (Don't forget about the charger too).

Yeah I was going to just put the tamiya connector on the esc but I think I'm going to put deans on the battery and the charger.

Hopefully my lhs has the charger adapter in stock.

Can deans connectors be found in most LHS? and is it a simple job?

Yes, they can be found at your LHS. If you know how to solder it's not a problem to install them.

They should be nice enough to help you out.. Or at least i would hope so. lol But it is a very easy job and its ALWAYS nice to have a soldering iron around the house.. So you might want to look into getting one.

I use deans connectors, and I swear by them! Tehy are GREAT! Just make sure the batt is FULLY discharge first, solder the positive, then the negative, and boom! instant voltage conductage! best 3-4 bux u'd spend!
