All current Pulsar Competition user like the versatility of this charger: You can perfectly charge all types of batteries for maximum power, discharge all types of batteries with the matching mode and run in your motor – all with just one unit!


The goal of the LRP R&D Team was to give all racers the best possible charger with state of the art charge- and discharge-software all in a great looking case.


The charge mode contains a fast charge for 1-8 cells with adjustable current from 0.1 to 10.0A on the fly. Linear and Flex charge modes, to get the maximum performance out of all kind of batteries with a adjustable Delta-Peak range from 5-95mV. LRP has reinforced the proven PCS-2 System to the all new PCS-3 Peak Capacity System. With the Pulsar Competition 2, 3 individual user profiles can be stored for easy operation. You can switch between the user profiles at any stage of the menue, so the handling is extremely convenient for you.

The new discharge mode now contains a variable discharge current from 0.1 to 10.0A, adjustable on the fly! The laser-blue backlight display shows all relevant data during discharge like discharge time, capacity and average voltage. The cut-off voltage is adjustable from 3.6 to 7.2V. You want to know the performance of your batteries? No problem! Just use the fully automatic matching mode to match your battery!

LRP electronic was the first on the market with a fully adjustable motor-run-in function in a charge system. For the Pulsar Competition 2 we optimised this for maximum performance (14.0A!). The powerful voltage output is fully adjustable from 2.0 to 7.2V and can be used to brake in the brushes, run a com-lathe or to power any 7.2V soldering iron!

That's a nice lookin charger...

All types of batteries? Does that include LiPo and Lead Acid as well? I'm kinda thinking it doesn't...anyone wanna clarify that one for those of us who wanna know?

Looks the same with a new sticker slapped on it. :D Also some extra features. I just bought the original 3 weeks ago too. :rolleyes: o well it's not a big improvment though.

Looks like all they did was beef up the features and give it a new suit and tie. I'll stick with my regular Pulsar Competition. :)

What they really need to do is improve the discharging function (say, 20 or even 30 amps) and put some more fans and/or heatsinks in there to keep it cool.

Same with the LRP Quantum Competiton 2 and the Nosram Dominator 2. LRP and Nosram are somewhat like Orion and Peak from what I can tell.

On another note, where can I find Nosram products in the States?

Not.... it's not available in the States, that's why LRP has made the Quantum series.
And LRP onws Nosram so that's why they have the simular products.
They we're developing these very small true race series speedo's, and wanted to sell them under the company Nosram, but because that brand isn't available in the States they have made the Quantum series.
In Europe Nosram is a bit cheaper than LRP, that's because of the taxes or something like that
