does battery mAh affect speed?

if i went from a 1500mAh battery to a 2400 or 3000, would i notice a difference in speeD?

The capacity doesn't matter as much as the quality of the cells. But, as the hobby goes, the higher capacity packs do have a higher volatage. Matched 1700-2400's would be the fastest since the NiHM 3000's don't have as much voltage. I would say get a couple 2000 stick packs for $40 each rather than $60+ for a matched pack. Matched packs aren't worth the price unless you are seriously racing.
