Hey everybody, just built a new Electric TC3 and it ran just fine for probably the first 6 runs I had it. Then one day I took it out and ran it, but it just felt like it had a lot of lag to it, taking off from a dead stop, wasn't very "zippy" at all. I've replaced the brushes so I know it's not them. However.....the last couple times I've taken it out it has been kind of random as to how it is acting. I'll take it out and it will feel sluggish, but if I pick the car up and run the thing full throttle holding it in my hand above the ground and then set it back down it zipps right away from me and doesn't feel sluggish at all. I'm pretty stumped as to what this could be. If anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks in advance!

Have you cleaned the motor? Sounds like the brushes aren't making good contact. Did you look at the comm when you changed brushes? Might just need the comm cleaned up. Try a different motor in it. While you have the motor out roll the car and see if it rolls easy.

Did you build your diffs properly? You should leave the diffs loose right after you build them, run them in for a bit and tighten them gradually until your desired tightness with very minimal slip. Diffs will feel like donkey if you don't build them properly...

check your diffs.

I would also make sure that when you replace brushes you also cut the comm. Its not really worth replacing the brushes on a comm that isn't cut.
