"I don't think it would" ?

OK, I realy really don't want to be rude (here comes the "but"), BUT why did you respond if you don't know the answer ?
Unless of course you were giving him an implied BTT, in which case you are cool ;)

But, come on folks, if you don't know, why volunteer a response ?

Does anyone know for sure ? I am curious as well !

I was at the LHS last night, and I wanted to buy a reciver and some servos so I could run my RC10GT again. The guys at the shop said I couldn't use any of the recivers there because I had a JRPropo R1. I can run it in PCM and FM mode. I thouht I could just buy an FM reciver, and be on the way. No, they said the recivers have to be synced to the JRPrope transmitters. I asked about all the revicers there, they had Novaks KOPropos and the Novak synthesized ones.. None of them will work with the JR R1 transmitter because they're not "Synced". I don't understand why this is so!? Unless the novak reciver was made for JRRpopo reciver, I was SOL..

I don't know why any reciver shouldn't work with the M8, but you should really check with the manufacturer of the reciver. :(

Blackwolf, I had a JR756 that worked with every FM receiver I tried. The only caveat, like you mentioned, is that I could not use PCM.
I think your hobby shop is wrong, but I am no expert (and usually LHS's aren't either, unfortunately).
The R-1 is sure a nice controller. Too spendy for me. I am jealous ;) BTW, I replaced my 756 with an M8 "transmitter only" setup and used all my existing receivers, etc

I have read several places that the only other vendor that will work with the Hitec Spectra is Futabas high end model (forgot it's model name). ;)
