well, today i took my revo to a dirt bike area with sme massive jumps, this was the same place where hpi films all their videos..but they never hit the jumps that i was hitting! but i noticed that around the fourth tank the truck started to slow down and become somewhat unresponsive throttle wise. the carb would fully open and it would just put off at about 5 mph. so i just turned it off for about 5 minutes then fired her back up. she ran fine for the next 3 tanks. well, then i came home (exciting!). Anyways, once i get to stripping her down and cleaning it all up, i noticed that the glug plug was BLUE!! so i began to inspect some more and noticed th episton head, and sleave were blackish colored. but the glow plug and engine still ran great! so i was a little confused...

so if anyone knows why this may have happened, or if this is a bad thing, please, let me know!

and the pics..

on the right is an unsused mccoy mc-8 and on the left is the blued mc-8.

:D FINALLY! A DIRTY REVO! :D

THANK YOU!

Yes, this is a bad thing. You are running very lean, lean enough to temper the glow plug. Try running it a bit richer, and what you experienced was a flameout, not a good thing.

What is that on your pit stand? Something that shouldn't be there. LOL

Holy cow man.

I see

A warped head shim (isn't that what that copper ring is?) laying under a tool.
Carbon deposits like I've never seen.
A week -old anodized engine head with dings in it.
What was a brand new Bronco bod with the rear wheel well ripped out.
An exhaust pipe popped loose and run anyway.
Fuel left in the tank.

I give it a month. :D

You know I'm giving you a hard time just because I'm jealous, but yeah . . . . you should be nicer to your new baby or I'll call the RC abuse hotline, you'll wind up in a Revo-Anon clinic giving group hugs. :D
