Get yourself some Drywall Repair Tape. Stick that on behind the crack - overlap the crack by a couple inches in each direction. Work in some ShooGoo - just enough that it gets into all the holes in the tape.. work it in with your finger. Let it cure, ideally overnight just to be safe. That should hold the body together, and still be flexible enough that it won't just fly apart on the first slight impact. Ultimately it'll be time for a fresh shell though.
Cheers, and happy repairs!

Depends on how bad the crack is. If it's a pretty good one, then go with Spam's idea. If it's only small cracks, then just get a good bead of shoo goo. One of the things I do to kind of ward off this sort of thing, is after I finish painting a body, I shoe goo all the impact areas. Granted the body is now a lot heavier, but it's also a lot more durable.
