Last years truck of the year was the Kyosho Ultima Gas Truck, a truck that essentially was a photo copy of Associated GT. I think the editors normally lucid minds were hung over from celebrating picking the car of the year and they nominated the Kyosho on a dare. :) I should say this though, I think their endorsement did help sell 3 out of the 15 of those trucks that were actually sold.

I might be wrong, but I think the T-Maxx was out too early to be this years, so lets hope the E-Maxx gets it and the credit it deserves. As good as the XXX-T is, it hasn't really changed the industry all that much. Even though I don't own one, the E-Maxx and its nitro brother have revitalized the industry.

C'mon, do we need to even stab? Its the MAXXES, I mean think about it, with all the project trucks they've created out of them and how many have been sold, and what it has brought to the MT market? I dont have one but I would take one in a heartbeat. But I still love my XXX-T.

Hands down XXXT all the way. My baby just flys on the track, and everything on the XXXT (or just mine) is Super Smooth!

In my Opinion the XXXT is a better truck to me, iv had a FT T3 and only reason i bought it is because all the Goodies that were in it. This is just my opinion so no one get mad because im in no way putting down the T3, its a great little truck but its not for me.

Again i say XXXT all the way!

I am a Losi-nut, I have 18 Losi cars, so naturally I want the XXXT to be the truck of the year, but then I look at the MAXXES and see what they have done for the sport, bringing in more people to the hobby then the RC10.

In order to be eligible for the awards the car has to be released in that year, so no T3, no GT, no Stampede. Nothing really except the MAXX trucks and the XXXT or the XXXNT are eligible.

BTW buggies fall under car of the year, it is not on-road and off-road.

Awards should always go for excellence in innovation. And it is true, the only cars that are really new would be the 4 that were mentioned by Aaron. Regardless of which one gets it, the innovations made by the Maxx trucks and the Losi cars/trucks are definately deserving. I still don't get why people hate Traxxas just to hate them. They have brought out some fantastic products and have grown our hobby tremendously. After all, the more people that get in the hobby, the better and better RC products will become. I wish people would quit dissing Traxxas, they are just as good as any other RC company out there.

i have a T3 but it's too old to be truck of the year. i don't prefer losi but XXXT appears to be a great racer. as well as other Losis. but i'd say the Maxxes because of all of the aftermarket support and the innovations they stirred up during their rise.

well it IS official now.... the T3 beat out the T-Maxx in RCCA's truck of the year... who hooooo!!!!!!!!! it really surprised me... i'm dissapointed that losi beat out the B3... i really thought i would see a 1 2 3 from associated in the car truck and buggy category. well hey cant win every year.
