Ok, I was about to buy some rcca mags off of eBay. I placed my bid, and then hit the button to go to a search(NOT THE BACK BUTTON) I later checked on it a few days later, and I lost the auction, even though my bid was hiher than the winners bid(mine was 7.50, his was 5.00) What is going on here? I can't seem to find my answer on eBay, so if anyone has experience to this, please LMK
thanks

I would contact eBay support or the guy selling the mags, if I were you. Double check that you did actually outbid him, though, in your "My ebay" personal folders.

I have placed bids a couple of times and the browser kept the old information in cache. This made it look like nothing happened. I hit reload and all was well.

I cant see that being your case, days having gone by after your bid, but who knows.

I'm sure the seller would rather have more money from you than less from the person you outbid.

Did you receive a a bid notice from ebay if you have that option turned on? And also ebay makes you confirm that is the right bid before actually placing your bid so did you maybe go and do a search instead of completely finish making your bid?

I'm not sure if you really could do anything since the other person may already haved payed for that item and such but I guess you could always try and contact the seller and see if the other person falls through on his bid.

You didn't finish your bid, and get it logged properly.

There is a confirmation screen that you must access, and confirm your bid on before the bid is logged.

If you mess up doing this confirmation your bid will not go through.

You click on the gray box below the bidding boxes.

Didn't you read the on screen instructions when you signed up?

It's not that hard.
