Do all the tyre compounds that are available for the carpet racer make any differance atall to performance when you start using tyre additatives.

The compound always makes a difference. Just like rubber tires, the softer foams generally provide more traction and wear more quickly, the harder compound foams provide less traction and don't wear as quickly. Traction additive improves overall traction for a given foam compound, but it doesn't make up for the benefits of a change in foam compound when you need to alter handling characteristics.
