You can only edit a post right after you made it. If you come back in 10 mins, it wont let you.

yah some forums you can edit your posts whenever, others there is like a 50min time limit, others still don't allow you to edit at all.

I know of others that allow it. It's so that you don't flame somebody, then come back and change after they respond in kind, making it seem like only they were behaving badly.
