I was looking at a few Bolinks. What are the foam tires for? Do you have to have just rubber to run on asfault? If anyone has anymore info on Bolinks let me know. Im thinking about buying one and i can't decide. Im into off road, i have a XXX-T and XXX.....now im looking for something to run on road and i don't want to go with a TC3 or Yoke. I just want something simple! Thanx for any help.

If your looking for simple Bolink is the best way to go. There cheap, simple and fast. Foam tires are usually used for racing on carpet but they work just as well on pavement. You can get wheel adapters to be able to run 1/10 scale rims and rubber tires. If you plan on driving on pavement I suggest getting some rubber.
I have a Legend and a Super T (well there the same car basiclly) and i race with a bunch of guys who run the same equipment as me. Its great fun. Try to run on as smooth a surface as possible though cause theres pretty much no suspension.
Hope this helps you

Thanx. Thats what i wanted to hear. Now about the suspension part, is there any kit or something you can put on one of those cars?

There is no kit for the suspension that i know of. In the legend cars the back is a solid axel so no suspension and in the front there are two ball point pen type springs. Its very simple.
The Bolink Sport 2000 I believe has the spirngs in front and the back has a bit of suspension from the motor/axle pod thing

Yea i noticed that. Im also looking into one of those Associated DS Qualifier with the Nastruck body on it. They have it there for 100 $$$. Im looking for something with full suspension and doesn't cost that much. I might go with the Bolink...just depends on what my LHS carrys parts for.

Hi guys, my son and myself use Legends here in the UK for circuit racing and have found
if you replace the kingpins with M8 stainless
allen head screws and fit turnbuckles instead
of the piano wire it improves the steering and makes the front end less prone to damage.
We have ran both cars for over a year with
very little in the way of running costs.
