looking for a new mini t motor and wanted to know which motor will have good performance and not need extensive modifications

Beast Raptor, Orion Baja and some Peak motor,(can't remember the name) would go good in your truck. :)

What about Trinity's "Monster Rebuildable" series. Those look neat, totally rebuildable too. The fastest one needs an aftermarket ESC though.

I don't think soo! I believe you are thinking of the Termination motor series from trinity. I have a Monster Wild motor and am not impressed!!!!!!!!!!!! The ones you speak of come in three models; 1. fast, 2. faster, 3.fastest (with adjustable timing). The third one will probably need a new ESC. I'm not sure though? I am new to the electric scene and only know a few things and this is one of those few things!! hahaa. These are not out yet. I tried finding them on the trinity web site and their not posted as of now. But if you want great power at an affordable price try Venoms' Fireball 370 size motor. You'll need to get a big block motor mount to fit it. The engine goes for $10-14 on ebay and you can pick up a motor mount for $6. This is cheaper than buying a Baja, chubby, peak racing, mamba, or anyother motor that sells for >$35.00. I too am looking for a fast little motor and don't want to spend a lot!! One other thing, if you haven't already tried using a 5 or 6 cell battery pack buy one of those first then purchase ball bearings then the motor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The motor alone with regular batteries will suck, so buy these items in that order and you'll be a happy happy camper!:)
