Anyone having trouble getting Traxxas parts?
I've been waiting 3 months for any one of 3 LHS's to get a stock N-Rustler rear shock tower in. One LHS I go to has Traxxas parts that have been on order/back order for 5 months?
?????What gives?????

I havent had trouble with replacement parts, but aftermarket parts from any company I have yet to find for my 4-tec. I know one of my LHS's only carries certain parts during certain times, like he is stocking off road right now because its winter, but even then most of the stuff he carries are for the MAXXes.
*** Anyone know of a company with a heat sink or motor plate for the 4-tec motor, please tell me

Holeshot Racing Products makes a heat sink that will fit the 4-tec. I have one on my 4-tec. Part # is 2200. There phone # is (508)587-0663.
P.S. where do you live in Colorado

Barff- Instead of getting a stock tower you could opt for the aluminum one from GPM www.gpmracing.com (http://www.gpmracing.com)

I live in denver/aurora/centennial kinda area. And thanks for the info. Do you race? If so do you go to MHOR for races or is there another place around here?

I'm not interested in spend $25 for an aluminum bulkhead and another $25 for an aluminum shocktower. This is the only part I've broken in 5 months of HARD driving. $50 will go a long way in stock parts the way I drive!
Try calling Traxxas and ordering it yourself. Their number is 1-888-872-9927. Part number 4138 About $4 plus shipping. I have had to order parts directly and have had no problems. Can try Towerhobbies.com (part LXJF67) but it looks like it is on back order there.

I just heard from Traxxas. Apparently they are having some delays from their manufactures. They just received this week parts that should have come 4 months ago! We'll see when one of my 3 LHS's gets any Traxxas parts.
try making one out of polycarbonite plexyglass it works better the the stock and the alum and is litter than eitherone. I have made some and I have yet to brake one and I play really hard with my rustler. i use to brake the stock ones at least every couple of weeks. Use the 1/4 inch it works for me or try thicker.
