I feel like one. I am not bragging or anything, but I just feel like I was made for this hobby. It matches all of my interests. It is also ironic that I won 3rd place in the A-Main at my second race!
I also feel lucky that i discovered this hooby. i would probly have to hand the credit to my friend. We were at a church youth camp-out and he brought one of his tyco double sided cars. We romped around in the dirt for a while, then his battery went dead. i was so amazed! it wasn't the first time i had ever seen an RC Car or anything, or had one for that fact, it was just that that one was so much faster than what I had ever seen or driven. Imediatley when I got home I started searching the web for a car I could buy. After hours of searching, I finaly found Tower Hobbies. After a while of searching I finaly found the perfect looking truck. it was just what I envisioned as the truck I wanted. It was a traxxas rustler. I looked at the price and was blown away! It was close to like $150 or something! (lol! little did I know!) i thought I would never earn that much money! But then I saw an advertisement for a gas powered car! i was even blown away more, price and every thing.
Thats pretty much my story. I saved for about 3 years. Changed my mind about which car I wanted about 50 times. And finaly bought a RC10GT FT. And during those 3 years I also read different RC mags, you know, that other mag. (Sorry RCCA, I'm a new sub.) And know look at me a year later, a pretty darn good racer for only racing twice! But I have a practice track in my backyard so that might help! Does anyone else have a inspiaring entry story. Or just talk about yourself.

That was really good. Im thankful I got a Tyco for christmas one year. I later decicded that i didn't like it, mainly because it had a bad controller, one motor power for forward only(it was a 2 motor car)I threw it away, picked up my first issue of RCCA and started to read. I later got a Tamiya wild Willy 2000(which now ROCKS)and i think I might get a Clodbuster in a little while.

Well I also think that I am sort of a natural. In my second race I got bumped up to buggy stock! My third race which was a week ago I got third! I first really got into boats. I mean I was on the verge of getting a Maus Electro bullet. I have a Kyosho boat though. Then I went to my LHS and was really even more fascinated by the cars.( mainly because you could jump them and crap, Boats u cant!) So I saved up for about a year and a half and got a Losi XXcr KE. I just got a Triple X. I do great when I practice a lot but I think I was just naturally good. My parents say I have reallly good hand eye coordination for my age though.

Yah, it matches all my intrests. I disovered that i loved electronics when i was three and i always would take apart things and put them back together just to see how they work and i still do. I would always watch my brotherr use his rc cars. I remember the first time he let me drive his rc10 ce; man that thing was fast! Finaly he gave it to me. I've bean looking around for places to buy real rc cars for a while. I asked my bro where he got his cars. He said towerhobbies and told me about rcca. I bought a xxx. I saw an add for bruckner hobbies in rcca and i went there. I asked someone there where i could race and they told me about xtreme.

thats about everything that led to me loving rc and racing!

Mine goes back to the early years. I got some piece of junk Radio Shack $50 one, which at the time was a god to me. I raced that thing around like none other. Me and my dad even strapped a video camera on it and let loose. Well I broke it, so that was the end to that one. I still loved R/Cs but couldnt get one on my $5 allowance. I got a Nikko truck for christmas and started launching that thing off of curbs and ramps. After stripping gears in the thing and busting shocks I converted it into a blistering two wheel drive truck, then learned not to slam into reverse after going on an all out straight. So now thats disassembled in a heap, I then earned through hard labor my 4-tec, which has little mods to it, an ESC and soon a mod motor. Next up is a XXX-T or XXX-t spec, tossing up both the idea of which to buy. Once I get one, Im heading to my LHS for some racing action. Theres the begining of my story.

I discoverd this hobby when i was about 10. I forgot where i was at by now but i remember corner marshaling at a dirt track watching trucks fly by me. When i was about 13 my friend gave me an old truck i had to put back together. It was an MRC Ironman. I saved all my money just to put stuff on it and turn it into a real stadium truck! Then i sold it when i was 15 and now i have a XXXT and XXX! Losi totaly rocks. I think im a Natural but it just took some time to get my first TOP track record at my local track, that was about last July and it still stands today. Im 16 almost 17 and i have a feeling i will be in this hobby for a long time no matter what. I love this hobby cuz no matter what you always have help with something and everyone is willing to share stuff with you.

Race as if no one is looking and break parts as if you have a million $$$
