go buy a box of rit dye, usually in the deturgent section at wallmart, put the dye in a pot of water(big enough for your rims), let it boil, let the rims get a little darker than you want themtake em out.....

Thats how u do it, but, if u have a spare or junk rim u might want to test the spare first. Some parts dont take too well to dying. Sometimes they'll be just fine, other times it could shrink or distort the part your dying.

I've dyed dozens of Traxxas rims, heres what I do. I buy the Liquid Rit Dye, use 1/4 to a 1/3 of the bottle in a Large Coffee Can, Fill the can with Hot water to about 2" from the top. Set the can on the stove and bring the water/dye solution to a hard boil.
Drop the rims in the boiling dye 2 at a time, let them boil for 20 minutes. Take them out and Rinse them with warm water, if the color isn't as dark as you'd like it, then boil them another 10 minutes and rinse again. This Works Perfect for me, i've been using this method of the better parts of 18 years now and have never had a problem. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

The Rit Dye is an old favorite of dying parts. To make the dye take and hold its color longer, add a 1/2 cup of salt to your dye solution and let it boil the same amount of time.
Good Luck and Good Racing,
Jeff
