I'm looking around for a new pack since one of mine died on me. While I was searching on Tower's site i found these to be pretty good:
DuraTrax RC-2400
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXST62&P=7
Reedy Black Label
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGJP9&P=7
Peak Powerplant Pro
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCTV9&P=0
Open to other packs as well but not very expensive ones. With the RC-2400's will i get more punch than with my Epic 3000. Thanks

I personally think you should just stick with the epics.

I'm just trying out a different battery type cause i might enter a race pretty soon, i just have to get a stock motor and some other things so I was thinking which packs would be good to race and still have it around to bash with.

Try either GP3300's or Sanyo2400's, they are the way to go... I get atleast 3 mph over cheap packs and they dump later. I have had my Sanyo 2400's running in my evader for around a year with prolly atleast a run a day. On the weekends i have ran them up to 4 or 5 times daily. And they still are cahrging strong. I also charge them at either 4 or 4.5 amps, sometimes a little more. I also have some GP3300's and they are put through the same punishment, but they are only like 6 months old. I charge them at 3.5 or 4 amps, sometimes 4.5. Try pro match or ballisticbatteries.com for some good battery deals. I got my GP3300's from offshoreelectrics.com and i got my Sanyo2400's at ballistic.

How long was your runtime with the 2400 pack when you had you 12turn in it?

for racing, these days its almost a must to have 3300's because of the longer races and fast motors.
The new Fusion cells look great, I am gonna get some shortly. Check them out at www.fusionbatteries.com

I need a new Batt also. But,I want alot of punch like 2400s with longer run times. Will the 3300s lack Punch, because of its long run time?

The GP3300 pack I have (1.165-1.169 avg voltage) has PLENTY of punch, I wouldn't worry about 3300's lacking punch because of their runtime.

i just finished building my gp 3300's havent run it yet but with my stock motor i be there gonna last a looooooooong time
GP3300s have insane punch. I run both the 2400s and GP3300s and the GP3300s are just better, period. The 2400s are my first heat packs so I can get used to the track or my practice packs, GPs, main packs.
If you get new packs, try and get side x side packs and a good discharge tray. Maintaining these packs is important. they will last a very long time if you do this right. SMC has good instructions on this.

I would need just a stick pack. Tower dont sell GP3300's? Only SMC.

GP3300 is the name of the cell isnt it? The different companies have different ways of matching them such as Trinity's VIS and so on. They use the same cell just different ways to get more power out of them. Correct me if I am wrong, for the most part i think I'm right.
Edit: Where can you get a discharging station for side x side packs, the Trinity one got discontinued from Tower and the Novak is pretty spendy. Im probly going to get one of these two and assemble them with DuraTrax Copper Barz,Trinity Shrink Tubing, 60/40 solder, 40WT iron, Deans Plugs.

GP is the company that makes the cells, as opposed to sanyo or panasonic. I forget if GP is "Gold Peak" or what. Different matching companies such as Trinity or Promatch Racing all match GP cells, in addition to sanyo's and others. Yes, you are right I'd say.

I probobly got around 7-8 minutes with the 12 turn, running hard offroad in grass. THis is just a guess. I probobly got 10-12 minutes in same conditions with 3300's. Also, the GP3300 batteries have no less punch than the sanyo2400's.

Sweet, ill get the smc economy loose 3300's then. My run time should be pretty long with my 21T, and im gearing down to get a little more torque also.
