I just bought....

....an Associated TC3 from a buddy @ work. He races pan cars now, and said he has no use for his TC3.

Anyhow, I wanted to know if I got a good deal, or if he took my money and is smiling all the way to the bank. Here is what I got.

-TC3 minus shocks and all electrics. Has a bunch of anodized blue parts on it. The chassis doesn't have any scratches on it, so I'm not sure if it's new, or has just been babied.
-a BUNCH of tires (8 full sets) - both rubber and foams
-2 bodies - one in the package still, and one that is painted
-Sack of extra parts - a new diff, some arms, some other assorted parts that don't look familiar to me.

Anyhow I paid $60 for this stuff -I think I got a pretty good deal, but not sure. I will be running a Tekin G12 ESC, Trinity P2k2, and Futaba radio and receiver. Would like some input as to what servo I should drop in it tho.

Wow, I've been looking for shocks for this thing - $40 on eGay seems to be the cheapest I can find. Can someone offer me some advice on what kind of shocks I should get? Should I go with the stock Associated shocks, or is there a different mfr that makes a better product?

Both will work yes. the 1st will be a direct fit. id imagine the same with the other too

If I were you id buy the GPM's right now, thats a steal.

I have GPM shocks on my RS4 MT, and I LOVE them, very good quality, and they are beautiful :)

Awesome deal. I see easily $60 just in parts on the table there, without including the car. You really scored. Locally for me those wheels would be $9.50/pair, that motor is $40, and all of those wheels and tires in the bag don't look like junk by any means. Plus the car looks to be in excellent shape. Only thing it looks like isn't pictured are shocks.

To compare, I just bought a TC3 used that has some road rash to the chassis, adjustable springs, one body and one set of wheels with no extra parts for $70. I think what you've got would fetch at least $150 on ebay.
