I need some help, Im lookin at either the Mad Fighter or Super Hornet for a cheap basher. I need some help deciding. They both come out to about the same price, and since I have battery packs and 2 different controlers, its only a matter of a couple servos and a reciever.

If I remember correctly, they're somewhat the same buggy. I think the only thing that's diffrerent is the wheels and body. Either one should be a great basher. Go for which one you like the best.

well, I dunno if you like the idea or not, but I would recommend a Traxxas Bandit. They are strong little buggies, and they have a wide variety of hop ups availble, not to mention they are super easy to get parts for. :)

Both buggies you mention are an evolution of the Grasshopper. Wich is plain crap (IMO). I dunno if available in the US but the Kyosho Chadori buggy seems to be a decent basher at a comparable price as the Mad fighter. The big downside to the Fighter and the Hornet are that the second heavyest component the motor (second only to the batt) is part of the "undamped" and "unshocked" rear axle wich gives it crappy offroad handeling. The already mentioned Bandit is a step up from my suggestion both in quality and price.

you may also want to look into the Evader BX. Pretty well priced for what you get.
I would also if you don't mind buying used look on ebay for B3s. They go dirt cheap, are pretty tough and you still can get parts for them.

im with cain. sooner or later, your bound to get bored with bashing, and then you are going to want to race.
You can buy a B3 or even a XXX for dirt cheap on ebay. both cars would work good bashing.

I already have a GT and a T3 but I just wanted something thats really cheap and fun. I know that the suspension sucks but I dont care, it's not like I have 10 foot jumps. Im talking about low grass and maybe a little dirt and MAYBE concrete. Besides, I'm a little strapped on cash. :( And I'm a little fond of the older Tamiyas.

Honestly, a Bandit would be cheaper than the Tamiya's in the long run...the Bandit is RTR, the Tam's arent :)
