FYI, unless they are on the same channels that are currently assigned for RC use (only half of them are), they're NOT legal for use in standard RC transmitters. The transmitters for the XMods put out a signal that is less than 1/10 of a watt. Hobby-grade transmitters are more than five times stronger, and they fall under different rules.

At our local Mini-T track we had to purchase all the XMod cyrtals available so we could all race together. They work fine in the Mini-T radio that comes with the kit.

Even half of them (3 legal sets/$15) its still a good deal. :)

So does this mean I can use my AM radio with an XMOD?????
The radio is the only thing holding me back from buying the thing. Its a cool little car.

I had one for a few hours, when it worked it was fun. Something was wrong with the TX or RX, the car just stuttered all the time. Guy at RS said they did have a bad batch. I returned it and got a B4 :D
