No contest, the Hitec the Lynx 3D.

That mostly depends on how many rcs you plan to get. I'd say the Hitec is probably your best bet though.

While the Hitec is a great value, I would nod for the Airtronics M8. Just take a look at the drivers stand at any national level event. Next on my list would be the KO.

If I was at a nat'l level event and Airtronics was giving me a radio, I'd use it too. But since I'm just an average driver (if that) and I have to fund my own hobby, the Hitec is the best bang for the buck. Besides, if I have any problems, I can talk to one of the people who designed the radio and he's always more than happy to help. I haven't had the opportunity to meet the designers at Airtronics yet. Just my .02

Typical mis-information. What do you think they bring at truck load of radios to the race and just hand them out? Thats pretty funny.
Airtronics has a VERY small number of drivers.
Brian Kinwald, as well as most of the Losi drivers were recently asked by Horizon to use the JR R-1, since it is Horizon's brand. Guess what? He said no.

Good honest answer Sir Speedy. :) Me & my sons bought 3 KO radios because at that time it was one of the two most full featured radios, @ about $100 less than the Futaba. The M8 didn't come out until a few years later. I know quite a few guys that use the KO Mars & have only heard of one being sent back for service after very heavy use. We have not had any problems with our 3 radios or 6 receivers used for gas & electric. Today it would probably be a tossup for me between the M8 & Mars. Just my $.02 ;)

My apologies for the hasty answer. I would be interested in what the feature differences are that make the M8 and KO more expensive, though. All the people that I know that use the Lynx 3d are very impressed with the list of features and the price they payed, it just seems to me that most other radios are pretty pricey and don't have any noticeable differences.

In my opinion, the M8 just feels better. The wheel is very smooth and precise. I like the balance of the radio. It is also much easier to navigate throught the functions of the radio. It has a very good interface system. The laptimer is very accesable. It has adjustable tension for the wheel. The M8 also has a more refined look.
That is all I can think of. Try to get your hands on all of them and get the one that feels the best in your hands. It all starts there.

Actually Digex, the KO is the cheapest high-end radio out there. I called Bruckner a few months ago and they said that the price for the radio, 2 servos, and reciever was only $220. I think that the M8 is a great radio, and I like its features, but I think it looks really goofy. The Lynx 3D and KO Mars are more my speed. If you do have lots of extra money, or have a reciever, and servos go with the Profi-car 403. 6 model memory. It can be switched from AM to FM, and tons of other great features. I have a Multiplex Profi Car 403 and I love it. Go check it out and you'll see it has awesome features, especially for the price. I'd mention the features, but I'm tired of typing and the link will tell you about them anyway.

Oh yeah, RCCA and Extreme R/C have recently reviewed the Profi radio. See what they think.

The Lynx is a great radio. If you do a price/feature comparison, it can't be beat. For all of the features and information, email mayberry@hitecrcd.com . This guy knows the Lynx 3d like nobody else. Its DCX feature is probably the coolest thing about it, with the enhanced glitch protection and distance. Enjoy it!

We told you our opinions, now it's time for you to take what you've heard into account and make a decision. Why don't you dust off the old thinkin' cap and go with it...?

:D Thanks Everyone :D
I want the XR3 because I have heard great things about it but I think I will stick with it, only reason is the Lynx 3D does not come with servos and i don't have money for $40 more on a servo. THANKS for all your help!!!
Dude...the XR3 also needs Nicads...its 10 dollars cheaper, but so what? I doesnt include nicads!... Its well worth buying the Lynx 3D because you will be SAVING money. The batteries on my radio last a long time, and the raio is awesome! But, the XR3 Is cool too...unless of course you need the servos. Both radios are a great choice, and Im certian you will enjoy the
XR3. Did you know that Am radios have better range in places with trees, or rocky terrain? its weird...Good luck with your radio!
