I'd like to be able to setup my Ultra GT LX for onroad too and was wondering if anyone has tried lower profile wheels and road tires. I was thinking if I could find an adapter for 17mm hubs to 19mm hubs I could run Landmax wheels/tires and reduce the diameter and get closer ground clearance. Any thoughts or suggestions??

There was a thread in the electric forum that talked about those adapters for another vehicle. I'm sorry but that is a specific as I can get. I have broused sooooo many threads that I have to write down ones that helped me with my T-Maxx, RC10L3 and RC10LS. Also general knowledge information that I have learned. If I see it again I will come back here and let you know where you can find it. Also try BOLINK and Pro-Line. They sell a variety of wheels for different types of cars and trucks.

Tamiya also has a good selection of road tires/wheels... you could see if the demensions fit your r/c.

What would be better than looking for new wheels and adaptors is just get a set of Pro-Line Road Rage tires for 1/8 scale buggies. And then put internal limiters in the shocks to lower the car. You could also use the tires from the on road version of the OFNA buggy.

Gubbs, I've done what you suggested, thought I'd try a smaller diameter wheel/tire setup so it's a quick change from dirt to track.

Dos'nt changing the the size of the wheels/tires change the gear ratio in the wrong direction? Smaller tires = slower speed unless change spur gear? You want to go faster on pavement right?
