View Full Version : I got the ESC blues...

My ESC has been acting odd lately. It is a 2 month old Dynamite Powerpulse so it has lights to show when the ESC is in fwrd/rev. I charged up my 2000 pack (not overcharged) and plugged it in. The ESC went crazy and wouldnt respond to throttle input. The throttle only responds to steering input (i.e. moving the steering gimbals controlls throttle, but only slightly!) The lights blink and flash like they are possesed. Also, the pack makes a loud buzzing noise! When i used the same pack (same charge) on my MSC it ran perfectly. What could be the problem? Blown fuse or separated fuse is unlikely. Water damage? Overload? Short curcuit? AAHH! Someone help me!

Possible problems you might be having:
- Bad (or wrong, or unmatching) radio crystals.
- Major radio interference where you're running the car
- Servo & ESC could be in wrong reciever slots (steering servo should be in ch 1, ESC in ch 2)
- Try reprogramming the ESC to your radio.
- the ESC could be toast, but that is very unlikely

My plugs r in the right sockets, and i dont think that there is any interference b/c it has been working flawlessly until this time. Just earlier today, i had it running fine, but i switched packs and all **** broke loose again. It seems like when i leave it alone for a while, it uhhh heals or sumthin. wierd huh?

Have you checked the batteries in your radio? Something similar happened to me not long ago and I was tearing my hair out until I realized I had left the radio on all night.
