I charged a 6 cell 2400mah pack last night for the first time, i was wondering why the cells started to make a buzzing a noise. Is this bad? Also after bulding a light discharging bar with no cut off device when do i know it is safe to pull the plug. Thanks Any help is greatly appreciated

Can't help you with the pack, but with the discharger just pull the plug when the light start to go dim. Don't let them go out. I let mine get really dim before I unplug them just not out!

i have had packs buzz when charging, i just give them a little smack and it usually goes away, i don't know if it is bad, but i have not had any problems. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

A buzz is usually the charger making noise. This can, in time, and depending on the freq of the noise, damage cells. As long as they aren't hissing, I think you're ok. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif

Discharging. I cut mine off at .85 volts per cell. I hook up a volt meter, load the battery with 4 amps, and cut it off at 5.1 volts.
