Can anyone help me with this problem?
When i'm driving small turns (small 8's) the diffs on my Kyosho Spider TF-4 Type R come loose. that is, the car won't accelerate quickly anymore. I went to the store and they told me to put some locktite on the screw that holds the diff. together. Needless to say, it didn't work.
Please help !!!
Thanxx

They must be a ball diff, try buying a new diff. Clean all the surfaces really good, then try the loctite.

If it loosened up turn the diff around inside of the tranny case that way when it lets go during a race it tightens up. Instead of loosenning. http://www.rccaraction.com/ubb/smile.gif hope that helps

You only need to buy a new diff in extreme cases, I might try just replaceing the rings and balls first, but I think you may have just assembled your diff wrong. Make sure you have the manual ready and rebuild the diff to the letter. Most diffs are supposed to tighten as they run, at least Tamiyas do.

Thanxx,
I was thinking of turning the diff. around. That's the only thing i could come up with. Buying a new diff. is not an option. The car is brandnew and didn't run more than 100 meters ( only tried it in the livingroom co'z the weather suxx over here :-) ).
Thanxx for the answers !!!!

Did you follow the directions exactly? You may have put the diff in the opposite way by accident. I definitely suggest you flip it around in the tranny, like B3 Bomb said.

I tried to turn the whole thing around but the screw that holds the diff. together isn't long enough. So i can't turn it around. My front diff. is ok now BTW !!! the front diff. doesn't slip / come loose anymore.
I'm trying to get both diffs fixed, but i had a crash yesterday. My left front arm is broken (the car hit a concrete at full speed while turning, car lost grip, drifted into the concrete pole). not a pleasant thing to see i must say !!!!!
